from the drums to the mixer

Growing up in a household filled with musicians, I was introduced to various musical instruments at a young age, igniting my passion for music. However, my true journey as a musician didn’t kick off until a schoolmate gave me a Korn CD during a bus ride. This pivotal moment prompted me to borrow instruments from my uncles and learn how to create cassettes with my favorite songs to serve as backing tracks, ultimately leading me to embrace my very first instrument, the electric drums.

As I progressed, I continued to nurture my skills within the school orchestra, specializing in playing the snare and bass drum, until I crossed paths with other musician friends in high school, and together, we embarked on recording a punk rock demo. My passion for music only intensified, inspiring me to explore more. I committed a year to comprehensive study, which combined formal school instruction with private lessons. This transformative experience broadened my musical horizons, enabling me to explore various genres, such as classical, bossa nova, jazz, funk, and rock on instruments like the guitar, keyboards, drums, and bass.

Upon relocating from Venezuela to Miami, I attempted to establish a band, albeit without success. Yet, my passion for music remained unwavering. I persisted in practicing diligently at home, sharpening my skills until the onset of the pandemic. It was during this challenging period that I conceived the idea of purchasing a mixer and hosting parties at the Marco Polo Beach Resort and The Anderson bar.
